Joseph Megally moved to the United States from Cairo, Egypt. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington; earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies. After graduating he spent the following summer in Honduras, working closely with frequent collaborator and fellow cinematographer, Nik Aufderhar, on a feature film. Since then he has worked behind the camera on feature and short narrative projects, music videos, digital content, and video journalism.

Previous clients include the United Nations, Amnesty International, JW Anderson, Yamaha, Spotify, MERCHANT, NYU CIC, and Hybrid Fitness.

His photos have appeared in ROVA Magazine, Arrived LA Magazine, Visual XIV, Atlantis Magazine, and Medium.

He is currently working as a freelance video production professional in Los Angeles, CA.
